On the plan for Thursday was a 40 min tempo run. I’m still learning about running so my version of a tempo run went like this:
10 min warm up
10 mins @ 9-9.30 min miles (I struggle to stay consistent
5 mins recovery jog
10 mins @ 9-9.30 min miles
10 min cool down
I really need someone to tell me exactly how far/ fast I should be running so I don’t have to make it up!!
It was haaaard. I had a talk myself through the second 10 mins along the lines of ‘ok, if you can do 5 mins, you can stop’ ‘well you’ve made it to 5 mins, I’m sure you can make another 5’ which worked 🙂
